Recessing attachments are usually used to machine internal grooves or recesses.
Available in three versions:
- Heads for thrust recesses: the recess head fits into drillholder and is pushed by a “shelf” mounted on the cross slide.
- Fixed ramp recesses: the recessing device is installed on the central support and actioned by the motion of the central support or independent pusher.
- Rotating ramp recesses: the device is installed on the central support and the recessing tool rotates, helping chip management and making easier the machining of tough materials, also available with internal refrigeration.
